Our Understanding of Domestic Sewage

As a water treatment chemical manufacturer with 28 years of experience, we understand the complexity of domestic sewage treatment.
Household wastewater from kitchens, bathrooms, and toilets contains high levels of organic matter (COD, BOD), nitrogen, phosphorus, oils, and surfactants.
Our goal is to offer chemicals with excellent stability, wide adaptability, and consistent performance across different regions and treatment systems.

Common Problems in Domestic Sewage

Domestic sewage often contains organic matter, suspended solids, nitrogen, and phosphorus compounds.
Key issues include:

     → High COD/BOD levels

     → Poor sedimentation

     → Sludge bulking and foaming

     → Excess ammonia and phosphate

We’ve found that tropical regions (like Southeast Asia) often require stronger coagulants and adsorbents, while European clients care more about stable effluent and water reuse efficiency.

Recommended Chemical Combination

Step Product Function
Coagulation Polyaluminium Chloride (PAC) Rapid turbidity removal
Flocculation Polyacrylamide (PAM) Strengthens sedimentation
Filtration Activated Carbon Removes odor and organics
Phosphorus Control Ferrous Sulfate Enhances clarity & reduces P

Packaging & Storage

     · Polyaluminum chloride : 25kg woven or kraft bag

     · Polyacrylamide : 25kg composite bag

     · Activated Carbon: 20–25kg bag

Store in dry, ventilated areas, away from moisture and sunlight.

Product Usage Tips

     · Dissolve PAC at a 1:10 ratio before dosing.
     · Add PAM after PAC coagulation, stir slowly.
     · Use multi-layer filtration with Activated Carbon for better adsorption.

FAQ

Q1: Can PAC and PAM be used together?
Yes, but PAC should be added first.

Q2: How long should PAM dissolve?
30–60 minutes at room temperature.

Q3: Any special advice for tropical sewage?
Use 10–15% more PAC and select high-molecular-weight PAM.

Q4: How to store Activated Carbon?
Keep sealed, dry, and away from humid environments.
