Do you know how to distinguish the type and process of polyaluminum chloride from its appearance?

The polyaluminum chloride series of water purification materials of Gongyi filter industry Co., Ltd. include high purity PAC, drinking water PAC, industrial PAC, basic PAC and PFC. Although there are many kinds of products, it is not difficult to distinguish them.

High purity polyaluminium chloride is made of the first grade aluminum hydroxide and high purity hydrochloric acid, and in order to dissolve water better in the process of use, most adopt spray drying methods, and the solid products are white powder, the main component alumina content can be as high as 30%. Drinking grade polyaluminium chloride and industrial polyaluminium chloride are processed by hydrochloric acid, bauxite and calcium aluminate powder. After the PAC mother liquor is filtered through the plate and frame, the drinking water level PAC with alumina content of 29% or more can be obtained. The color is pale yellow, such as the drying process of the roller, the solid product is yellow granular, such as spray drying, and solid finished products are yellow powder. The PAC mother liquor without frame and pressure filtration has an alumina content below 28%, which is deeper than that of drinking grade polyaluminium chloride. It is yellow brown, such as drying with a roller process, and solid finished products are yellow brown granules, such as spray drying process, and solid finished products are yellow brown powder. The raw materials of basic aluminum chloride are aluminum ash and hydrochloric acid. After roller drying, the finished product is solid gray black particles, and the content of alumina is about 27%. Due to the addition of iron molecules, the solid product of polyaluminium ferric chloride after roller drying is reddish brown particles, and the content of alumina is about 27% as that of basic aluminum chloride. To sum up, the higher the purity of raw materials and the higher the alumina content, the lighter the color of polyaluminium chloride. The spray dried products are mostly powdered, and the products dried by roller are granular. If the red brown iron molecules are added, the finished products will also be reddish brown.
