The difference between polymerized iron sulfate and ferrous sulfate

TIME:2023-07-21 17:32:34SOURCE:admin

Many people who don't understand will mix the polymerized iron sulfate with ferrous sulfate. They are not a product, but they are all iron salt coagulants, and there are many same properties and effect. The hydrolysis of ferrous sulfate occurs with 2 valent iron ions, and the polymerized iron sulfate attacks 3 valent iron ions. Ferrous sulfate has the property of oxidation recovery, while the polymerized iron sulfate does not. In terms of use, the stability of polymerized iron sulfate is stronger, and it is easier to store than ferrous sulfate. The alum flower formed is larger, the floc is more compact, and the dosage is less than ferrous sulfate. However, the polymerized iron sulfate is produced from ferrous sulfate as raw material, which can also be used as raw material, that is to say, ferrous sulfate is the raw material for PFS production.

The polymer iron sulfate is a small yellow brown particle, and its water agent is a reddish brown or black brown or light yellow amorphous powder solid, which is very easy to dissolve in water, and the water solution is a transparent solution of reddish brown, which is hygroscopic. Polyferric sulfate is widely used in the pollution disposal of drinking water, industrial water, various industrial wastewater, urban sewage and sludge dehydration, which has obvious effect on high temperature and low turbidity water.

Ferrous sulfate is blue green particle or yellow green, crystal like, and its solution is light green. As a recovery agent, it is often used in the reduction and decolorization treatment in printing and dyeing wastewater. This is because ferrous sulfate will naturally generate iron hydroxide under the condition of micro alkaline. This kind of material has severe selective recovery infection to the oxidized wastewater. The process of recovery bond breaking is used to stop the active dye from being broken and split into colorless small molecules. Therefore, almost colorless solution can be obtained by adding ferrous sulfate as decolorizing and restoring agent for reactive dye wastewater and sulfide dye wastewater.
