How to deal with viscous polyacrylamide in sewage?

When using polyacrylamide in some water treatment plants, the phenomenon of polyacrylamide agglomerating in the dispensing tank has been encountered. The operators reflect that a thin layer of colloidal substance and large floccules are often left on the inner wall of the dispensing tank, which are sticky and slippery. It is difficult to dissolve no matter how they are stirred. These substances often block the dosing pump, but it is quite troublesome to clean it up.
When polyacrylamide is used in wastewater treatment, the viscous water quality often appears in the anionic PAM products. The molecular weight of anionic polyacrylamide in water treatment can reach 20 million, and the concentration ratio is generally 0.1% - 0.3%. The higher the molecular weight is, the higher the viscosity is. If the concentration of polymer flocculant is higher than 5 per thousand in water solution, it is easy to form gelatinous substance. Therefore, the center of the dissolution tank should be chosen as far as possible, so as to avoid contacting with the inner wall of the dissolution tank. If the water quality is too sticky in the course of adding medicine, no matter which polyacrylamide is used, we can use the method of reducing the amount of added and diluting the sewage. In addition, the dosing tank should also be cleaned regularly to avoid the deposition of more and more colloidal matter, which is difficult to clean.
The quality of polyacrylamide products may also affect the viscosity of the solution. There are too many insoluble substances in some polyacrylamide products on the market, resulting in large agglomerates when they are dissolved. Therefore, in the selection of goods, it is recommended that you choose a more stable manufacturer.
