The purpose of polyacrylamide flocculation process is to change the existing properties and state of clay and other suspended solids in water, so as to facilitate the filtration and removal of subsequent processes. Because the filtration capacity of the quartz sand in the filter tank is limited, there are many tiny pollutants in the swimming pool with the diameter of only a few microns to more than ten microns, and the sweat, grease, cosmetics, microorganisms and organic substances secreted by human activities can cause water turbidity, which is difficult to remove only by mechanical filtration. Polyacrylamide has strong adsorption and electric neutralization ability. In the process of coagulating purified water, it can not only quickly neutralize the negative charge on the surface of colloidal particles, but also bridge or adsorb between particles, resulting in rapid coagulation and flocculation.

Because the role of polyacrylamide is mainly used to flocculate various fine impurities in water and improve the efficiency of filtration. Therefore, the coagulant should be put into the front pipe of the filter tank. The adding method is to dissolve the solid coagulant in the medicine barrel, stir it evenly and dilute it into a certain concentration solution, and then add it into the suction pipe of the circulating filter tank with a metering pump. The dosage of coagulant is generally 5-10mg / L. The specific dosage should depend on the number of swimmers, weather conditions and turbidity of water.
